WILL BENSON

After being selected 14th overall by Cleveland in 2016, Will passed on a college baseball offer from Duke University to play professionally. He tallied 88 doubles, 94 home runs, 295 RBIs and 86 stolen bases in the minor leagues and made his big-league debut in 2022. This season, Will slashed .275/.365/.498 with the Reds and recorded 11 home runs, 31 RBIs, 51 runs, 79 hits, 15 doubles, and 8 triples in 108 games.

AARON BUMMER

Born in Valencia, Cal., Aaron was drafted by the Yankees in 2011 but opted to play college baseball at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. As a junior, he recorded a 3.34 ERA in 15 starts before being drafted by the White Sox 558th overall in 2014. Now a reliever, the southpaw made his major league debut in 2017 and has tallied 309 strikeouts in his career. In 2016, Aaron graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor’s degree in finance.

CORBIN CARROLL

Corbin, 23, made a historic impact in his rookie year. The Seattle native was drafted by the Diamondbacks 16th overall in 2019 after hitting .540 in his senior year at Lakeside School. He made his major league debut in August 2022 and this year helped the Diamondbacks clinch their first NL pennant since 2001. Corbin became the first rookie in MLB history to record 25+ home runs and 50+ stolen bases in a season. He was named the only NL rookie All-Star and won NL Rookie of the Year and NL Outstanding Rookie.

JASON DELAY

Jason was teammates with several major leaguers at Vanderbilt University, including Walker Buehler, Dansby Swanson, and Bryan Reynolds. He played in back-to-back College World Series and won the title in 2014. He was drafted by the Pirates in 2017 and considered retiring from professional baseball after several years in the minor leagues. But he stuck with it, made his major league debut in June 2022 and hit his first career home run the following month.

JACK FLAHERTY

Jack, alongside future major leaguers Max Fried and Lucas Giolito, headlined a star-studded pitching rotation at Harvard-Westlake High School in California. He went a perfect 23-0 with a 0.63 ERA in his junior and senior years. He was drafted by the Cardinals 34th overall in 2014 and finished fifth in NL Rookie of the Year voting in 2018. The next year, he posted a stellar 2.75 ERA and NL-leading 0.968 WHIP to finish fourth in Cy Young balloting. In August 2023, he was traded to the Orioles and threw six innings of one-run ball in his debut.

LUCIUS FOX

One of eight MLB players in history from the Bahamas, Lucius moved to the United States to play baseball at American Heritage High School in Delray Beach, Fla. He signed with the San Francisco Giants as an international free agent in 2015. After being traded twice and claimed off waivers, Lucius made his major league debut with the Nationals on April 10, 2022. In that game, he deployed a game-tying safety squeeze to record his first career RBI.

At seven years old, Max learned how to throw his eventual signature curveball at a baseball academy hosted by retired player Reggie Smith. He won gold with the Team USA Juniors team at the 2009 Maccabiah Games in Israel. He was named the 2011 Southern California Jewish Sports Hall of Fame Male High School Athlete of the Year at Montclair College Preparatory School. The San Diego Padres drafted him seventh overall in 2012 and traded him to the Braves in 2014. He broke out in 2020, recording a perfect 7-0 record with a 2.24 ERA. Max made his first All-Star Game in 2022 and has three Gold Gloves, a Silver Slugger, and a 2021 World Series title on his resume.

ZACK GELOF

Zack played baseball at Cape Henlopen High School with his brother, Jack, who currently plays for the Dodgers’ organization. Zack was the 2018 Delaware Gatorade Player of the Year and is the state’s all- time leader in runs scored (103) and stolen bases (81). He played in the 2021 College World Series with the University of Virginia and was drafted by the Athletics that June. Zack won American League Rookie of the Month for August 2023 and amassed 33 extra-base hits in his first 60 games, the most by any A’s player in franchise history. He finished with 14 home runs, 14 stolen bases and an .840 OPS, and was sixth among MLB rookies with a 2.9 fWAR.

LUCAS GILBREATH

Lucas attended Legacy High School in Broomfield, Col., and played college baseball for the University of Minnesota. He was drafted by the Rockies twice, first in 2014 and again in 2017, signing with the team the second time. He recorded 303 strikeouts in 309.1 innings pitched in the minors and made his major league debut on May 1, 2021. Lucas finished his rookie season as one of Colorado’s best relievers, posting a 3.38 ERA in 47 games. He missed all of the 2023 season recovering from Tommy John surgery.

LUCAS GIOLITO

Lucas grew up in Santa Monica, Cal., and attended Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles with future major leaguers Max Fried and Jack Flaherty. He was drafted 16th overall by the Washington Nationals in 2012. He threw four shutout innings, allowing just one hit, in his major league debut on June 28, 2016. He was traded to the Chicago White Sox in 2016 and became a consistent starter with the organization. Lucas earned his first All-Star nod with the White Sox in 2019 and finished top 10 in Cy Young voting in 2019 and 2020.

AUSTIN GOMBER

Austin was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals in the fourth round of the 2014 MLB draft. He played college baseball at Florida Atlantic University, recording a total of 41 starts and 244.2 innings pitched with a 3.27 ERA. He made his major league debut with the Cardinals on June 2, 2018, pitching three scoreless innings of relief against the Pirates. Austin was traded to the Rockies in 2021 and became a full-time starter this season.

JOSIAH GRAY

A New Rochelle, N.Y., native, Josiah pitched and played shortstop in his first two years at Le Moyne College before transitioning to the mound full-time. As a junior, he went 11-0 with a 1.25 ERA in 13 starts. The Reds drafted Gray 72nd overall in 2018 and traded him to the Dodgers that winter. Josiah was named LA’s Minor League Pitcher of the Year in 2019 after recording a 2.90 ERA with 147 strikeouts in 130 innings. After joining the Nationals by trade in July 2021, he finished the 2023 season with his first career All-Star nod and a 3.91 ERA in 159.0 innings pitched.

TREVOR HILDENBERGER

Trevor attended Archbishop Mitty High School in San Jose before playing college baseball at the University of California, Berkeley. He tied Cal’s single-season record with 10 saves as a senior. He was drafted by the Twins in 2014. Trevor made his major league debut in June 2017 and finished the year with an excellent 3.21 ERA in 42.0 innings as a reliver. In his career, he has also played in the Red Sox, Mets, and Giants organizations.

RHYS HOSKINS
SERVICE TIME: 6.053 
Rhys was a multi-sport athlete at Jesuit High School in Carmichael, Cal., before committing to baseball at California State University, Sacramento. He was selected 142nd overall by the Phillies in 2014. Despite playing just 50 games in 2018, he finished fourth in NL Rookie of the Year voting with 18 home runs and 48 RBIs. In 2022, he hit six postseason home runs to help Philadelphia win its first pennant since 2009. Rhys missed all of the 2023 season recovering from a torn ACL he sustained during spring training.

COLE IRVIN

Cole was named an All-American by Louisville Slugger, Baseball America, Perfect Game, and the NCBWA in his freshman year at the University of Oregon. He entered the draft three separate times and signed with the Phillies after they selected him in 2016. He made his major league debut on May 12, 2019, pitching seven innings and giving up just one run to earn his first career win. Cole has an undergraduate degree in sociology and is the owner of “Swirvin Limited,” a fishing rod and athletic apparel brand.

BRYCE JARVIS

Bryce was named the 2017 Tennessee Baseball Player of the Year as a high school senior at Brentwood Academy and played college baseball at Duke University. He was drafted by the Yankees in 2018 but opted to remain in college. In 2020, he threw the first perfect game in Duke history against Cornell and was drafted 18th overall by the Diamondbacks. As a rookie this season, he recorded a 3.04 ERA in 11 appearances. His father, Kevin, played 13 seasons in the major leagues.

ORION KERKERING

Orion and his father, Richard, went viral in September when Orion struck out two batters in his major league debut at Citizens Bank Park with devasting sliders. The Phillies selected him in the fifth round of the 2022 draft out of the University of South Florida. In the minor leagues, Orion posted a stellar 1.78 ERA in 60.2 innings with 86 strikeouts. He finished the regular season with zero earned runs allowed and six strikeouts in three innings pitched to earn a spot on Philadelphia’s postseason roster.

JOHN MEANS
SERVICE TIME 4.007:
John was drafted by the Braves in 2011 but elected to play baseball at Fort Scott Community College in Kansas and later West Virginia University. He signed with the Orioles as an 11th round pick in the 2014 draft. John had a breakout season in 2019, making the All-Star team and finishing second in the AL Rookie of the Year race. In 2021, he threw a no-hitter against the Mariners, the first Orioles no-hitter since 1991. This season, John returned from Tommy John surgery in September and recorded a 2.66 ERA in four starts.

MJ MELENDEZ

Melendez attended St. James School in Montgomery, Ala., and Westminster Christian School in Palmetto Bay, Fla. He played for the United States National Baseball Team in 2016 and was drafted 52nd overall by the Royals the next year. In five minor league seasons, he recorded 350 hits, 75 home runs, and 266 RBIs. He made his major league debut on May 3, 2022, against the Cardinals and recorded his first hit. In his career, he has 34 home runs, 118 RBIs, and 50 doubles.

CASEY MIZE
SERVICE TIME: 3.111
Casey went 19-2 in his career at Springville High School in Alabama. In March 2018, he threw the ninth no-hitter in Auburn University history against Northeastern and was drafted first overall by the Tigers that summer. Mize made his major league debut against the White Sox in August 2020, striking out seven batters and allowing three earned runs in 4.1 innings. He started 30 games the next season and finished with a 3.71 ERA in 150.1 innings pitched. Casey is currently rehabbing from Tommy John surgery.

ELI MORGAN

In his senior year, Eli won Bay League Co-Pitcher of the Year at Peninsula High School in California after recording a 10-2 record with a 1.23 ERA. He played college baseball at Gonzaga University as a walk-on and was drafted by Cleveland in 2017. He made his major league debut in May 2021 against the Blue Jays. The next season, he established himself as a solid bullpen option, making 50 appearances and recording a 3.38 ERA and 72 strikeouts in 66.2 innings pitched.

VINNIE PASQUANTINO

Vinnie attended James River High School in Midlothian, Va., and played college baseball at Old Dominion University. He was selected by the Royals in the 11th round of the 2019 MLB draft. He tallied a .292 batting average, 266 hits, 56 home runs, and 207 RBIs in 246 minor league games. As a rookie in 2022, he was named the AL Player of the week for August 8-14, hitting .455 with four home runs and six RBIs during that span. Vinnie also played for Italy in the 2023 World Baseball Classic.

JOE RYAN

A San Francisco native, Joe was drafted by the Giants in 2014 but elected to play college baseball. He signed with the Rays as the 210th overall pick out of California State University, Stanislaus in 2018. He was traded to the Twins in 2021 and started his first career Opening Day game the next season. Joe finished the 2022 season with a 3.55 ERA and 151 strikeouts in 147.0 innings. He previously competed in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Japan, helping the United States National Team win the silver medal.

PATRICK SANDOVAL

Patrick grew up attending games at Angel Stadium and idolized his eventual teammate, Albert Pujols. He played baseball and football at Mission Viejo High School and was named by the Orange County Register as a top player in the county to watch in 2014. The Astros drafted him 319th overall in 2015 and traded him to Los Angeles in 2018. Patrick joined the big-league rotation the following season and was second in innings pitched among Angels starters in 2022. He posted a 2.91 ERA in 27 starts. Patrick represented Mexico in the 2023 World Baseball Classic.

MARCUS SEMIEN

A San Francisco native, Marcus recently won a World Series with the Texas Rangers as well as his second Marvin Miller Man of the Year Award. He has displayed incredible durability in his 11-year career, missing just one of 486 games over the past three seasons. In 2023, he recorded 185 hits, 29 home runs, and 100 RBIs, and was named an All-Star for the second time in his career. Marcus serves as an Executive Subcommittee Association Player Representative for the MLBPA, providing guidance on and off the field to fellow major leaguers.

AUSTIN SLATER

After being drafted by the Dodgers in 2011, Austin opted to play college baseball at Stanford University. The Giants kept him in the Bay Area, drafting him in the eighth round in 2014. Austin bounced around different positions in the minors but concentrated almost exclusively on the outfield upon arrival in the big leagues in 2017. He finished that season with a .282 average and 33 hits in 34 games. In his career, he has maintained a .345 on base percentage and .747 OPS.

WILL SMITH

Will was a two-way star at Kentucky Country Day School, hitting .528 with 11 home runs and posting a 71 record and 0.87 ERA in his senior year. After going undrafted in 2013, he played college baseball at the University of Louisville and was selected in the first round of the 2016 draft by the Dodgers. Will has been a consistent hitter in the Los Angeles lineup since 2019 with a career .261 batting average and .840 OPS. He made his first All-Star Game in 2023, finishing the year with 80 runs, 19 home runs, and 76 RBIs.

TYLER STEPHENSON
SERVICE TIME: 3.056 
Tyler mastered the art of catching and pitch-calling at Kennesaw Mountain High School in Georgia while batting .415 with 8 home runs and 25 RBIs. The Reds drafted him 11th overall in 2015. He hit a home run in his first career plate appearance during the shortened 2020 season, the third time in franchise history that has happened. Tyler finished sixth in NL Rookie of the Year voting the following year with 10 home runs, 45 RBIs, and a .286 batting average.

BRENT SUTER

Brent was drafted out of Harvard University by the Brewers in 2012. He made his major league debut in 2016 and eventually transitioned into a full-time reliever. In 2021, Suter posted a 12–5 record with a 3.07 ERA and 69 strikeouts in 73.1 innings. He led the major leagues with 12 relief wins. He was claimed off waivers in November 2022 by the Rockies and continued his consistency on the mound, posting a 3.38 ERA in 69.1 innings to bring his career mark to 3.49. In June 2022, Brent published a children’s book he wrote titled "The Binky Bandit."

MIKE TAUCHMAN

As a senior at William Fremd High School in Palatine, Ill., Mike batted .490 and was named Mid- Suburban League West Player of the Year. He played college baseball at Bradley University and was drafted by the Rockies in 2013. In his career with the Rockies, Yankees, Giants, and Cubs, he has recorded 219 hits, 25 home runs, and 126 RBIs in 365 games. Mike also played for the Hanwha Eagles of the KBO League in 2022, earning an All-Star nod while slashing .289/.366/.430.

CALEB THIELBAR

Now in his second stint with the Twins, Caleb has been a steady option out of the bullpen. He was drafted by the Brewers in 2009 and released in 2011. After a brief stint with the St. Paul Saints of the American Association, he signed with the Twins and posted a stellar 1.76 ERA in 49 relief appearances in 2013. After being designated for assignment in 2015, he played minor league ball for a few franchises before returning to the Twins in 2019. Since then, he has recorded 215 strikeouts in 174.0 innings pitched with a 3.21 ERA in 179 games.

TAYLOR TRAMMELL

Taylor was one of Georgia’s best two-sport high school athletes at Mount Paran Christian School. In his senior year, he hit .463 and rushed for 2,500 yards, winning Offensive Player of the Year in football. He was drafted 35th overall by the Reds in 2016 and was traded twice, first to the Padres in 2019, then to the Mariners in 2020. Taylor made his debut in April 2021. He missed the start of this season recovering from a hand injury. In his return on April 30, he hit his first career grand slam.

TYLER WELLS
SERVICE TIME: 2.132
Tyler recorded a 0.84 and 0.28 ERA in his junior and senior years at Yucaipa High School in California. He played college baseball at California State University, San Bernardino and was drafted by the Twins in 2016. He pitched for three seasons in Minnesota's minor league system before the Orioles selected him in the 2020 Rule 5 Draft. Tyler made his major league debut in April 2021, serving as a full-time reliever in his rookie year before starting 43 games the next two seasons. He has a 3.96 ERA, 5 saves, and 258 strikeouts in 279.1 innings in his career.

HAYDEN WESNESKI
SERVICE TIME: 1.103
Hayden was drafted in 2016 by the Rays and then in 2019 by the Yankees. He signed with New York and was later traded to the Cubs in 2022 in exchange for Scott Effross. Hayden made his major league debut that year on September 6, earning his first career win by striking out eight batters in five scoreless innings. Two weeks later, he recorded the 114th immaculate inning in MLB history against the Pirates.

GARRETT WHITLOCK

Garrett posted a 1.95 ERA and .369 batting average as a junior at Providence Christian Academy in Lilburn, Ga. He played college baseball for the University of Alabama at Birmingham before being drafted by the Yankees in 2017. He pitched in New York’s minor league system until the Red Sox selected him in the 2020 Rule 5 draft. Garrett dazzled out of the bullpen in his 2021 rookie year, posting a 1.96 ERA with 81 strikeouts in 73.1 innings pitched.

JORDAN WICKS
SERVICE TIME: 0.037 
Jordan played baseball and football at Conway High School in Arkansas, recording a school record 1.39 ERA in his career. At Kansas State University, he set the freshman program records with 86 strikeouts and 84.2 innings pitched and was named the Big 12 Conference Freshman of the Year. Jordan was drafted by the Cubs in 2021. He made his major league debut two years later, pitching 5 innings while striking out 9 batters and allowing one run in his first career win against the Pirates on August 26.
